Triumph TR6 - PRESS Labels

Anyone out there have any ideas on how to get new PRESS labels for the seatbelts, may sound a little anal but the interior looks great except for these ratty labels...used to see them on e-bay every now and then but not in the last 2 months..

thanks

What can I say, i am a purest :-)

Be glad you only need new labels. The plastic buttons keep popping out of the holder (and falling down between the seat and driveshaft tunnel). Not exactly a confidence builder - should get aftermarket ones I guess.
Jeff Fetner

Bob,

With your kind of attitude you be great on this board. There are a few different views on what a TR6 should be in 2005 among the members here. Some people want to be strapped into a five point harness, bolted to the frame flying down the highway with thier hair on fire, the frame twisting and protesting the inhumane tourque supplied through the twisting overstressed driveshaft while the V8, or turbocharged, or supercharged vintage engine is straining to tear itself appart. Of course they live to drive another day. (Name for next Bond movie...)
Meanwhile other owners want to keep all the visible stuff stock, while under the hood lurks who knows what, meanwhile other people want to just buckle up and take her out for the big drive and wind in your hair and leave the thrills to the modern cars.

Im in the hybrid camp.

Last weekend when the electricals gave up, i would have agreed, but all is good in LBC land after that repair...of course my final response to you will come when I win at Bronte this year!

Cant wait to bring it up to the Horne Garage...only 8 weeks till driving weather? Probably cant make Chris's get together, boss has not approved my absence yet!

You gotta come to the BBSers. You are already on the list and I am sure you do not want to upset the guys down your "tree". I am trying to make it that everyone at the BBSers only has to send one CD.

Bob, It is not me that you need to worry about. It is your sales buddy Brian H.( 3rd last year at Bronte). Now that you both have cleaned out the garage, you can spend a little more time beside your 6 at the show:) ( and not drinking wabble pop:). I am in the class that does not need a bra so you are not "competition"..
I hope you do win this year...you deserve it! We both bought our 6s "in a box". It took you one year, it took me 3 years. At some point in time this summer we need to do a "photo shoot" of our 2 code 96 TRs beside one another. I am sure there will be another BBSBBQ this summer.

Bob:
You might try emailing Jon Messier at ebayblueturtles@earthlink.net

I bought my "Press" stickers from him via ebay.

Keep it up Bob and I will be under my car painting the little blue and green dashes of paint on the coil springs:)

Bob you might try scanning the PRESS letters then clean
them up in photoshop so they are dark and bold then print it out on a transpairancy. Then just cut and paste.

Come on, play hooky tomorow and come to the party

Keith

I owe you a beer! Jon came through! well Mr Crawford... shall i buy you the green and blue paint :-)

bob
Bob Craske

Well actually, the front springs do have the paint on them. The backs..well they will be a different colour code and not sure what it is. I am sure there is blue in there but could be white not green.

Just show up tomorrow and buy me a beer.

I am taking the boss out for romantic dinner..might try to angle the conversation towards an afternoon out for me tomorrow. PS, thought about scanning approach but thought for 5 bucks, purchasing was easier (lazy?)

If I do miss tomorrow, i will be the saddest guy at the airport using airport transfers tonbridge Monday AM!

As a quick fix wrap some black electical tape around the receiver; just cover the top of the button. You don't really notice the tape; it's been working for me for a couple of years now. Too cheap to buy new belts!

With the engine stripped down ready to pull out and the rad out , I am able to get at more of the lower bolts and washers in various locations. A little AUTOSOL and a buffing cloth then the buffing wheel on the drill mounted in the vise and "put on the sun glasses:)"

BOB??????
Rick Crawford

Rick- While your at it, have your crank "pinned", balance all lower end, throw in a hotter cam and mil the head. Thats how I got started on my mess.
Don
DON KELLY

Never said I was an engine guy... what is "pinned", ?
