Triumph TR6 - My rebuilt engine

Does anyone know how to post pictures of my freshly rebuilt engine? It looks great, in fact everything looks great. Maybe I have to figure out how to do a website or something, but it would be fun to share.

Clive kind of did a hybrid clutch, with a Ferrari pressure plate. With the lightened flywheel, he had to make a few other modifications, none of which will show, but all of which will improve the car.

By tomorrow evening at this time, it shoudl be back on the road!

I wish I could say I had a ferrari clutch in my six (I might just start saying it anyway...) It will be great to see your pics when you have them on-line.

Yes...we need someone to tell us where to load pic's.
I asked it before but got no response. Maybe it's one of those things that is staring me in the face (how to get pic's to this site) but I just don't see it. I know through Yahoo you can make a photo album and then give people the link but that just goes away as your thread nears the bottom of the list. I know there was a method where many people on the site sent pic's of their cars.

Anybody??..

When I was restoring my TR3A from 1987 to 1990, I knew I wanted to get it painted black as is was originally. So I went with the painter to the paint supply shop and we leafed through all the catalogues to look for available colours. I found what I wanted. BASF Urethane Acrylic Black (Ferrari Black) as it was listed and I looked no further. If it was good enough for a Ferrari, it would be good enough for me. That's the only Ferrari part on my car. After 87,000 miles, I still get compliments.

Ask Charley Ballard where his TR6 site is now and if he can add your photos there, then you can attach them to any message as I have done.

Mike I am sure John does not mind me answering for him, The engine was fitted 2 weeks ago and runs fine, we have not driven the car due to the fact that we have to get the brake system sorted, and the alternator has thrown in the towel,I am sure John will be more than willing to let you know how it goes, but all looks good for a sunday trip to the Pub next weekend.

Mike, what Clive says. I'm not confident it will be drivable next weekend because of the PDWA, but we'll see. The PDWA is on the workbench and I have to get the O rings from somewhere.

I buy the replacement o-rings for my PDWA's at Home Depot in the plumbing department. Don't remember the exact size (maybe 5/16 X 1/16) but they will have 'em for sure. Less than a buck.

Jim, I got the O rings from Kent yesterday and installed them. The seal is air tight, at least, so it should be good.

I'm curious as to how one really figures out if the piston is re-centered after bleeding the brakes. Hopefully it won't be real hard to deal with, but that is a very small and very hard to see where the piston really is.

Centering the Plunger is easy. Get yourself an awl. Remove plastic electrical piece. Insert awl and you will fell the beveled edges of the plunger. Center it. Before you center it, see if your light is on.

This is an opportunity to check if your warning light works. Put the plunger on a good ground consider a wire attached to -BAT terminal. Press the plunger into the plastic housing. Your warning light should go on. You might also want to do this with the plunger installed. Use the awl to put the plunger "off center". This will check ground of the PDWA. The first procedure checks the circuit and bulb.
