Triumph TR6 - Buying Advice

I'm seriously considering buying a TR6. I'm good with working on cars and I'm considering a TR6 that needs work. It works for the budget. I have a couple of choices but at their price they are currently not running. Would any of you buy one that did not run? Any insight?

If the price is right i would, But you have to think how much will you need to spend, is it worth buying one some one else has done the hard work to.For me the hardest most time consuming and expensive is sorting out the body work, i would look at the body and trim (costly)as the engines and mechanicals are quite basic.I bought a 1970 Texas import (good body work)and all work is DIY friendly, i also restored a British TR6, the body work taking well over a year to complete and verey expensive. Good look on your hunt for a good car....Guy.

Hi,

I currently have a nice driving 1973 TR6 that I am about to offer for sale. It is a good driver, with VERY strong running gear. It has recently new hydraulics, new battery, new clutch, and new brakes. All within the last year. It has red ring Michellin tires, and the dual Weber conversion. NO RUST EVER!! No dings or dents. Paint is tired, and interrior, although not torn, is starting to lok tired. This is a car you can drive home, anywhere. I want $4000.00 for it. If you might be interested, just e-mail me. I can get you pictures, etc.

Thanks,
Danny
