MG TD TF 1500 - Wind Wing Brackets

I am looking for a set of wind wing brackets (or sun visor brackets)as used on Moss 240-100.
I want to make a wind visor to mount where the sun visor goes but installed above the windshield. The brackets on the wind wings are substantial enough to withstand the wind. I mounted one of my wings there and it worked fine but it is too narrow so I will fabricate my own plastic.
If anyone has a broken set of wind wings I would like to purchase the brackets from you.
TIA,
Mort

Mort,
My first TD came to me in the late 1950's with sun visors. They were translucent green plastic and mounted in a similar way to wind wings. They worked great to deflect the air coming over the top of the windshield. I miss them on my current TD. They are the kind of thing people put away in the back of the garage. You might want to be on the lookout.

Best regards,

Mort,
I have these on my car.
The smoked plexaglass is nice on sunny days, do a decent job of deflecting wind in the "up" mode.
Also use them as "mini brooklands" when windscreen is down. Don't work very good for that but my navagator (dawg) likes the screen down. LOL

I don't remember where I got them ...been on the car for many years. Best guess would be Moss or Abingdon spares as that (& ebay) was about the only place I got parts from that long ago.

Mort; Have a set of wind wings with damage on one deflector. Mounts look OK. Send me an email if you have an interest. Dan

Hey Mort,
Had another thought...Ever think about running a piece of plexeglass across the "back" of those headrest you made? Saw a TD last week with plexy wind block on back of his seats. Said it worked very nicley. Be real easy to do with your set-up!

Tried to crop this pic so you can see it.

David,
I think I will try something like that.
Lets see....wind wings on the side, wind deflector on the top, wind blocker on the back...hmmm. Maybe I'll just put the top up???

I need more ideas for tinkering with this car!!!

Mort,
Kind of guessing your in the same place I am ...wife does not like the wind with top down!
I am going to try the wind block / back of seat. Seat rails make that an easy one!

My "other navagator" goes for the wind in the face.
Cracks me up ...if I put the windscreen down, just to clean it, "Sunny" hops in the car and gives me the "let's go" look!
