MG TD TF 1500 - Where to place the directional switch

The bracket and handle have arrived from Moss.
I never had such a switch so I have no existing holes to go by.
Looking at the pictures on Dave's and Chris' sites It appears to be under the dash light dimmer.

Can anyone give me a picture or a more definitive placement?

Locate the switch and bracket. Center of the dash. This is the only picture I have showing the location on my TD.

Mine was located a bit to the right of center on a panel but this was probably an aftermarket add on. I think CR probably has it 'period correct'...

On my LHD '53 TD the aftermarket directional switch (I think they are all aftermarket) is under the dash to the right of center so that it does not get in the way of shifting gears. Jud

Yes. Right under the dash light dimmer and ignition switch. You can see the back side on this page:

Mine is located same as CR's TD. It does not interfere with the gear shift and is convenient when your hand is either on the shifter or the steering wheel.
Jim Merz

Mine is located left of the (period) choke peg.

Here's the factory location of the turn signal switch from 'the53'. You can see the heads of the two countersunk screws that mount the bracket to the inner fascia board. Bud

Mine is mounted dead center under the dashboard. I would prefer it just to the right of center - mine's a left hand drive - so as to have more clearance for my right knee which rides next to the gear shift knob.

Thanks Chris and Bud.
I can make it from those pictures.
A gain it looks Like I am out of sequence and it should have been mounted before installing the dash.
I will need to get a couple of wood screw threaded studs at the Hardware store.

Mine is on the facia...mounted in November 1950. So for me that's period correct...
