Lonnie. Thanks for the link. Sorry George won’t make it. I was looking forward to seeing it after the updates you gave me on it last year.

Thanks Lonnie -- there goes my sleep for a few days then.

Thanks Lonnie.

Can anyone tell me why there are T-Types in Group 3 and Group 5? Different stages of tune perhaps?

Can I suggest you put the links under the "Motorsport" heading (below Y-Types and Pre-war) on this forum. After the event perhaps add comments about when in the YouTube timeline the T-Types are on track. That would help that heading become a library of historic MG racing. I tried to start that trend a few years ago because I had trouble finding much world-wide T-Type racing on YouTube etc. It didn't seem to take off. Lets start a trend!

I will certainly have a look at the racing as soon as I get a chance. Thanks again.

If the YouTube link doesn't work, then try this one:

I don't know if the link will change each day.

Another update:

Here are the YouTube live stream addresses each day:

Friday 9/1/23

Saturday 9/2/23

Monday 9/4/23

Looks like only one fixed camera is used for the live stream. The commentary is for the attendees at the track. I was hoping for better coverage.

Bob -

I posted on the "Motorsport" forum.

mgtf race driver Glen Moore told me that the cars in the MG Feature Group are a little faster than the cars in the Pre-War & Early Post-War group. This makes both classes more competitive. Over 30 cars in each class.

Glen returned to the pits after lap six of his first practice today in the Pre-War & Early Post-War group. I don't know why. The group practices again today at 3:10 PM-EDT today (7:10 PM Friday GMT).

I wonder if they know they were broadcasting themselves on Thursday. You could hear one guy berating another about audio levels during setup. Neither seemed to know what they were doing.

Thanks for then heads-up Lonnie. That will be great. We have a member of our club (MMGCC) racing there ... will be fun to watch. I will be alerting our members.

Been to Lime Rock many time ... some great memories..

Well done Lonnie. Not sure I will be awake however.

You'll be right Merv. 11pm start so we'll get an hour or two before nodding off--just like watching NASCAR

Hey guys -

Get your beauty sleep. When you wake up, click the YouTube links to see the entire nine hours of practice and racing anytime that you want.

I wish, Lonnie
They've got the replays turned off here - 18 mins to go for the Saturday session 10/42 PM now

Well the coverage is better than nothing but very boring to watch an empty long straightaway. It would be more exciting actually watching cars in the S turns than just before turn 1 or have multiple camera vantage points around the track. A lot of dead time waiting for the groups to make their way back around the track. But … like I said. It’s better than nothing. Hopefully there will be T -type in car coverage by some of the racers that will make its way onto YouTube.
W A Chasser

It's probably a funding issue, but it would be really cheap to put a couple small prosumer cameras around the track and have someone sit and switch cameras. Three crappy cameras would be better than one good one.
Steve Simmons

Steve. You’re probably correct. I’m just spoiled watching the productions of the Historic’s from Laguna Seca several weeks ago.

You're absolutely right, one camera on the straight is pretty boring. Better than no coverage at all of course. But there are ways to do a cheap multi-camera production, even on a limited budget. They could even reach out to the local high school AV clubs. There are some hurdles, like long transmission distances around the track. But it can be done if someone takes the initiative.
