MG TD TF 1500 - TF float lids
| what is correct on TF lids, ticklers or no ticklers. I have had my TF 1250 for for 41 years, it had no ticklers and is probably original. I see TF's with & without. How did they leave the factory. As the pin is lower than the overflow they would drip directly onto the exhaust. I notice that the TF 1500 in the "original mgtf Gallery has them. Ray TF 2884 |

| Originally they would have the pins. I look at them as a potential fire hazard should you have a float failure. Fuel could pass out of the pin opening and onto the exhaust manifold. For that reason I sealed mine with some JB Weld. The caps are available without them to save you the trouble or with them if you want original. |
