MG TD TF 1500 - TF 1500 fuel pump position

Is this the correct position for the TF 1500 fuel pump (see photo)? The bracket and pump are on the top side of the frame and the pump top points outward (towards the right) from the frame. The 2 fuel ports are at the 12:00 and 2:00 positions (when looking at the pump base).
thanks,
Tyler

yep!

That position is correct as Mr. Downey shows. Mine is the same.

Very nice looking chassis Tyler!

Tyler,
Correct....Something to consider:
The "boot" floor is in three sections as long as you do that this will be fine as you will have access then. My pump had been replaced with modern type (same place). My old boot floor leaked and would constantly rust the side curtains as moisture would get in. I replaced my boot floor with a single piece of marine grade ply to get rid of the leaks and to obtain some "extra spare part storage". Mine is no longer "correct" but my boot now has lockable storage for spares. Guess it comes down to how user friendly you want it to be as a driver or concourse correct you want to be. Mod's I did to mine can be seen here:

Hay Dave S, long time no hear from. I was thinking about you the other day - how have you been, or maybe a better question is where have you been. Cheers - Dave

Dave,
Hope your not hanging with thin ties and gray suits. Get a job selling AMC's ? Working on the hand clutch ?
Hope all is well with you and the family.

Jeff: Thanks. The frame was hot tanked, baked, media blasted, and powder coated.
Dave: Where did you get that red finned valve cover? I've been trying to buy one (the only one) from Moss for ages for my MGA. Check out older MGA catalogs for a look (such as MGA Catalog No. 08-2006, page A24). They have only one that they used for catalog photos.

Thanks Guys....Still kicken...still fighting with the "thin suits". Between the the suits and the doctors they have drained my funds so haven't had anytime for the toys! Poor Izzy ...she hasn't been started in 2 years, is still trapped in neighbors garage and is filthy. Guess the good news is I got enough feeling back in the leg to be able to get around on crutches and work again. Hoping next season will be better...but with what I see others going through just feel lucky to have work these days!
Tyler...Valve cover was a lucky find (NOS) from a private collector in the UK years ago.
Hope everybody has a great Holiday season and hope to have the toys back on the road next driving season.

Steve ,
If memory serves me correctly ...think John Twist put that on years ago when he worked on my car at his shop in ADA,MI.

Dave,
I have had many tach drives fail after a few thousand miles,,, so may failures that I don't use one now,,, BUT after seeing that stabilizer bracket, mabey it would help make them last longer by eliminating some of the flexing,,,

Steve,
Must work ...was not on the car when I first got it. I took Izzy to John's shop to check over the work I did (nue-bee and wanted to make sure what I did was right) when I first purchased her. They did a full inspection and "mock judging" / "recomendation" list to tell me what was right and what was wrong along with cost to do each. No doubt this was some of the smartest money I ever spent! I had them do some of the stuff I did not feel comfortable doing myself, yet gave me some direction as to where I could still "tinker" to get to know her better.
Never had any problem with the drive!
