MG TD TF 1500 - steering wheel size?

My steering wheel is getting old, and Moss now has them on sale. I have been thinking of using a smaller diameter wheel as I am 6'4"tall. Is there anyone out there that has had experience with the 14, and 15 inch steering wheels. Also, wood? or leather?

Tom,
The only after market 14" & 15" steering wheels that I was able to locate were from Moto Lita. The laminated one with rivets that Moss carries runs about $275. The solid mahogany one is about $350. You will have to order that one directly from Moto Lita. They have a web site. Good luck, Greg

Tom, I use a Nardi, all three. Being crazy, I interchange a wood 16 inch (very close to original size), and leather 14 and 15 inch wheels. The wood is pretier, the 15 is the best size , the 14 is a little edgy but gives the most room. It is hard to find a Nardi hub but is worth it if you can because you have a lot of choices since you can bolt any Nardi wheel to the hub. Used leather Nardi's are under 200 and wood maybe 250. Good luck , Dave/55TF. ps. Due to the dish depth of the nardi and the zero dish of the original, you have to do away with the chrome springy thing and just slam it to the firewall and lock it down. No great loss, who would pull the wheel out anyway.
