MG TD TF 1500 - seat foam

I am after the thickness of the foam for the seat, and does it taper off to a smaller thickness when comes to and covers the plywood riser.
J Walton

The foam in the Moss "FOAM CUSHION SET (seat bottom)" #640-348 that I received last week is 3-1/2" thick. It is not tapered.

Here are three links that may help ...

(Download the three .pdf files at upper right corner of page)

One of the links noted that the Moss foam is not firm enough.

I am also looking for tips on installing the Moss foam bottom and the Moss "SPRING ASS'Y, seatback" #456-645 for my '55 TF. I want to install new foam, seat back springs, repair/rebuild the wood frames, and reuse the existing seat covers and hardware.

Many thanks Lonnie for the information. Exactly what I was after.

If your seat cushions are still there but have lost their firmness you can try this. At least there are some pictures to help you too.

Thanks Chris, unfortunately there was no foam at all so I had no reference point to start with. I do now, with the help from Lonnie and yourself.
