MG TD TF 1500 - Says it mostly original but...

I saw the following TD out on EBay:

They're talking about how original it is, but I see:

- Pancake air filters
- Dash looks wood rather than 'vinyl' (though photo isn't that detailed, I could be wrong)
- External horn?

Otherwise it looks pretty decent for an unrestored 52 yo car. Anything else jump out?

FWIIW my observations. The top and side curtains have been replaced; not important. The pancake filters are not original. It has a TC type horn but also has at least one of the original windtone horns. Dash looks original and it has chronometric instruments. Upholstery looks good. But I take with a grain of salt the claim that the body frame wood is near perfect. Been there and after 50 years, notwithstanding dry storage and lack of winter use, the wood may well have serious problems. Terry

Not one to stick to "all original" by any means... however... "Black top and sidecurtains and tonneau?"
I would kill for the tool kit however..... and oh...the biscuit leather is soooo gorgeous. Hmmm... matching TD's... hmmmmm

I doubt if they were sold in that colour. Looking at the firewall I am wondering if this car used to be black? Carpets and upholstery certainly are original.

Take a look at the cream TD on ebay-USA. Apart from some obvious chroming, this seems to be a very original car.
(I must learn how to add 'links' one day).

If you type the link from the "address" field...(or cut and paste)... thats all you do... this forum program recognizes anything after html:// (without any spaces) as a link... simple as that. Same as most mail programs.
