MG TD TF 1500 - Photos of members and their cars.

G'day all
I'm no longer able to find a way to get to all those photos Gordon had put together. Err...umm...is there something I don't know about or just another of them there computer glitches???
By the way, this is my "virgin" post so please be gentle with me.
Its been absolutely fabulous to see this forum work as it does. So many cluey people offering such sound advice and snippets with gems of wisdom. A credit to all contributors.
Ciao for now John.

Ooops...foot in mouth here.
I had no idea that Gordon has passed away. So sorry if I have inadvertently slighted any members close to Gordon. His work with collating that photo gallery added such a lovely facet to the forum.
Steve...thanks for the heads up.
Peter...thanks for the kind offer. So you know where I am placed, I live in Tahmoor.
Rod...all the better to hear you with.

Ciao for now John.

No insult intended. Was just reading the title.
Nice to see you and your cars John, :)

Here are two photos from my wedding using wedding cars tonbridge this past Sunday.
First is the wedding cake with the little TD on top. (Well, almost)

Mort 50 TD

This was our attempt to duplicate the topper.

My wedding day many years ago with her fathers TD (now hers since Dad passed away). I was driving laps around the photographer to get the veil billowing.

Matthew.

M Magilton

All of these are wonderful! And Matthew, that's a superb photo... your sweetheart looks absolutely lovely... and you're looking pretty sharp in that uniform as well.

The Czech filmmaker Jan Rousek was visiting our home last year and we pulled out my old 16mm Pallard Bolex to show it to him... he decided to take a couple of 'period-like' snaps of us with his camera while my wife, Jana, and I were horsing around with the Bolex... and the result...

(BTW, the Bolex belonged to my dad, who bought it in Europe in 1952... so it, and my MG, were likely made the same year!)

Kevin McLemore

Now, at the risk of showing how much I've aged, here's one of me on the day I married the same lovely lady, 29 years ago...

(Still have the car and the girl!)

Kevin McLemore

Kevin, you should not fear the risk of showing how much you've aged ... it's the risk of posting a picture of a Triumph on an MG site!

;-)

That is a beautiful little Renown! Triumph put a lot of luxury into a fairly small body.

Below is a pic of my friend and fellow TD owner, Eric Van Note, and me on a hamburger outing to nearby Georgetown, Texas.

As is often the case a man stopped by to ask about the cars, we showed them to him, took pictures of his kids in the cars, and got this one of ourselves.

Sure can't match Mort's, but here's a clip from a video of a movie from June 8, 1958 showing the new bride and groom climbing into a 52TD in Saint Clare Shores, MI, on their way to San Diego, CA. Yes, that's 57 years ago next Sunday. Bud

Bud Krueger

You'd think I'd remember after 57 years, It was June 7, 1958. Bud
(Actually, it was my keyboard finger that goofed. We're planning to celebrate #57 by driving to British By The Sea next Sunday.)
Bud Krueger

Good lord Bud
You were texting each other way back then?

Like it

:)
R. D. Jones

Not quite - I was trying to get the Scotchtape off of the ignition key (Ha!Ha!, danged brother-in-law) and my bride was putting on her sunglasses. Bud

Got quite a surprise in my 'Goodie Bag' at British By The Sea yesterday. An 8x10 laminated version of the attached was in the bag. Doris and I were delighted to see and are grateful to Steve, Annie, Mort, and unknown others for your consideration. Thaks folks, Bud & Doris

Bud Krueger

Congratulations Bud to you and Doris.
Mort
Mort 50 TD
