awe,

I have an original Derrington wheel on my TF.

The hub ls completely different. It is all polished aluminium and is similar to the Blumells wheel on the TC's
The front ha a flat aluminium disk with the letters MG engraved, held in place by three small screws. The rear is essentially the same as the TC wheel.
The spokes are similar to the one you picture.

Awe, I purchased my wheel many years ago I to the best of my memory it is a Derrington. The hub looks like the one you show but it appears your wheel spokes are dished while mine is flat. If mine were dished, I'd have a major belly interference problem.

don ,
i think you have a newer replica derrington made by motolita?

bill , they were made with flat and dished spokes (for me the flat one looks nicer then the one i have)

I have the Mota Lita wheel on my AC Cobra replica...
Other than the number of screws, to secure, it looks an awful lot like mine.

edward , on the cobra steeringwheel the position of the spokes is different

i have an original 65 gt350 steeringwheel to (the same as fitted to the cobra)

the spokes on the original dished derrington was split where the hub is fitted (see picture)

Here is my TD Moto-Lite. Its 48 years old. My wife purchased it for me for Christmas in 1965.
I di refinish it about 25 years ago. The finish is Spar Varnish. Poly is not a good thing to use.
Note that is does not have slots but holes.
It is definately Moto-Lite. Its stamped on the bottom rung.

I am almost sure it came from Moss.

I just checked my original factory fitted wheel. It has the same plain bore with a key slot in it. There is then a piece fitted to this that has a fine spline which then engages with the steering column and allows adjustment closer or further from the driver. That means that you can fit your wheel to your car if you wish.
I have a motalita wheel for my car, the original wheel has had snakeskin plastic covering put on it by po after the original fawn plastic finish deteriorated.

Mine is not a recent Moto-Lita, it is a Derrington from the late 50's
The wheel was on the TF when I bought it in 1964 from an Auto Museum where it had been since 1959 and is identical to the one shown in a Derrington Ad from 1954.
Don Harmer

do you have a picture of your steeringwheel don?
