MG TD TF 1500 - louvre panels

How do the louvre panels get fastened in place on a TF? Is it similiar to the mga twin cam panels? I am assuming those clip on speed nut thingys clip onto the side panels. Can someone verify me or correct me.

Much Thanks in advance

I use self tapping metal screws.

Mine are on with clips (see picture).
I use stainless screws but with a nylon washer so not to scratch the paint.
Picture was taken for another reason but you can see the clips in it.

David,

Great to see you back in the BBS TD/TF action.Hope that leg/foot is getting stronger now.

On a bit of trivia, the Purolator sticker originally came from two(2)sources,(UK),one from Bolton and the other from Leamington Spa !

One never stops learning about the detail on our incredible TD/TF cars.A few months ago,a friend in New Zealand came across an original TF Front Stoneguard which was fitted with two(2)rubber grommets.I had never seen these in position before.Their use ex Factory was confirmed by Colin Stafford's TF having them in place.Two(2)other very original TF's on this BBS also had them installed. A 1/4,BSF,dome,Phillips head setscrew with washer and then spring washer and grommet under the head, was the order of the day.

I know I digress, however the above example of comraderie reflects that this BBS really is, it seems, a most valuable asset in maintaining the MG Marque.

Cheers for now.
