MG TD TF 1500 - LED lighting--Positive ground

I was wondering how many of you have upgraded your dash and taillights? And,what you thought of them? And, of course, the $$$? Also, where you purchased them?
Cheers,
Barry

I purchase the dash lights - positive ground from Moss. Extremely pleased. I purchased the taillights and a flasher from www.LiteZupp.com. They had the positive ground taillights and front lights.

Love them.

The LiteZupp was a very good investment for me. And they gave me advice over the phone. Increased visibility significantly. And the brake switch is not overloaded with amps.

Thank you to RG Taylor. I just emailed Phil Horsley with LiteZupp. I'm going to pick up the front parking lamp LED's and the brake and tail light LED's. I've already ordered my dash LED's from Little British Car Company.

Thanks everybody,
I now know what one of my winter projects will be!

Cleaning the insides of your instruments ala Gordon Lawson, will help the standard bulbs provide OK illumination. I did upgrade to Pos Ground assemblies for the tail lights, from Classic LEDs. Some people with LEDs have flasher issues with the electronic flashers, I was lucky to have an EL-13 that was still semi mechanical. The trouble on our cars is that we need a flasher that sends a signal to the panel only when the flasher is contacted, which is different than most three prong mechanical flashers available today. I think Bud has it pretty well covered on his website, in directional, because the power flows to the flasher can all the time.
Dave Braun

I built my own high power LEDs, brighter than anything on the market. Last year I converted over to negative ground (to solve the flasher issue) and just switched the wires over and they work fine. I'm looking forward to converting the front lamps and headlamps to LEDs too, as I can afford it.
Anyone interested in making your own high power LEDs, definitely better than any standard ones on the market, check the link below. There is also a set of links to other LEDs, suppliers, other projects - lots of useful material to anybody interested.

With Geoffreys help I installed his high power LEDs and I am very pleased with it. Last week I drove on German highways and I felt safe with those backlights. When touching the brakes I notice in my mirror immediate response from cars behind me. Thanks again Geoff!
