MG TD TF 1500 - Interesting Magnette on e-Bay

Not crazy about the MGB LE wheels or the steering wheel, but otherwise nicely done and pretty interesting...always kinda wanted to do something similar with a Mark II Jag.

Andy,
We must be twin sons of different mothers. When I need to take a break, I scan the classifieds for a MkII that could be made into a driver. Love the look of the car but would also like modern amenities. The S type would be one way to go, but the MkII is simple and stately. It's an ongoing fantasy, and I'm afraid when push comes to shove, I'll end up in something with an Asian nameplate.

I must be the triplet. Also have a TF.

Just saw this on another post about spark-plug gaps. Dave Moore from Ireland who owns a TF 1500 says: "I found before with my Jag MK2..." So I guess that it can be more than just a wish. Is the MK2 preoccupation confined just to TF caretakers?

Not confined to TF'ers - I want my TD to have a companion ivory MK II with a 4.2, Webers, Konis, a Warner T5, wider wire wheels with 225/60's, and a 4-link rear axle.

This would be ion addition to a mid-seventies XJC, also with a 5-speed and Weber-equipped 4.2. That way, there would be economy of scale in tune-up parts.

As the t-shirt says, "My needs are simple, I want the best."
