It seems that "Elvis" is alive.....8^)
Except for those dummy pram irons, it looks the same as the one on Mike Couper's website !

Hope the link works.

Oh......my god... that is just about the ugliest thing I have ever seen....excuse me, i have to run to the washroom...!

Gordon; I agree with your insight. That top is definately FUG-UGLY. The rear window tretment looks like the new Honda matchbox on wheels. I also think he paid way tooooo much for it.

I dunno, it looks 'ok' to me, would look much better body color and without the faux pram irons. I can't imagine getting a lot of use out of it here either, as the soft top does a good job of cutting down drafts, and once the really cold weather hits, well so does the salt.

Yup, definitely an Elvis.

Anyone with a TF - don't get sucked in. The top dimension for a TD are not the same as a TF and I hope the person selling it, is honest, if asked.

The price is way too high. I bought mine in similar condition for less than half the opening bid price including shipping. I have what Chris Couper calls the "Ann Margaret" type which I think looks much nicer.
Jim Merz

The value is in how rare they are and not what your personal preference is for how they look. There were over 17000 TDs built and many many less hardtops.

PS. I am the seller and I may have payed a premium price for it, but I have not seen many for sale. If it doesn't sell I will restore it and increase the value total of my 53 MK II.

(almost 30,000 TD's...)

Another Ooooops and shame on me!!! You are right on almost 30,000 TDS. I have a MK II and there were only 1710 produced. The correct total should be 28007 according to info I was able to find in a reference book. And the hardtop is definitely an Elvis. Gblawson; Hope you had a good time in the bathroom.
