MG TD TF 1500 - Eureka...a new (to me) product.....

I have tried to wash/rinse/scrub(lighly)/clean my plexi windows about 5 times since i got the car. Today i happened upon a product in the local Home Hardware store....

Plexus - (B.T.I. Chemical Co., Oak Park, Ca.)

developed (they say) for the aviation industry (ok, so i pictured myself cleaning the inside perspex of a Supermarine Spitfire...so call me crazy)... I bought it ... $10.99 CAD and gave it a try. My sidecurtains are hardly used, and they cleaned up nicely...however, the rear window was really yellow, scratched, and almost impossible to see through... (Duh...i didn't take before photos, but did dig up an old one...and an after photo). It was amazing... like there was never any yellow at all... and the scratches pretty well went away (got filled with something). I was really impressed.....(although it probably kills dolphins...!!!!)

Gordon - Thanks for the info, this sounds like something that I need. Cheers - Dave

Gord:
Great find. Unsure if it is available here, but if not, I will impose on Gordo Clark to secure a tin. Have been nursing my last can of "Classic" plexiglass cleaner. They were great products from way back then, but alas.... Thanks Gord.

For those in Australia, this product is available through the Autobarn chain of stores.

Stop by any general avaition airport using airport transfers sevenoaks in your area and go into the FBO (Fixed Base Opertor) office and ask for their plexiglass windshield cleaner. I've used this stuff for years and it really does work great. I am thinking that the brand you might ask for is "AeroSheen" but don't hold my feet to the fire on that one. Anyway, they will know what your looking for.
