MG MGF Technical - Wind stop and soft top liner
Hey All, Ok, got through my problems a few week ago. Ended up having some noisy lifters which went away after some decent oil was added. Hopefully not a problem until my next oil change :-) I've been looking around for some half decent wind stops. Yes, the simulated helicopter sound in my car is getting the better of me on long trips. So, the question is - anyone know where I can get a wind stop for self-installation somewhere in Australia ? Secondly, I went for a spin in a friends brand new (well, 2 years old actually) convertible Holden Astra turbo. Nice car, but it's no MGF ;-) Anyway, the once thing that really got me was the liner inside the car for the soft top. Hid all those bars and other bits necessary to hold the soft top on. I was wondering inf such a thing existed for the MGF too ? If so, where can I get one ? Thanks Sonny |

I'm fairly sure that Mike Satur used to list a softtop liner. Not sure if he still does. You don't see the frame and hinges if you put the top down. |

Sonny There is only one manufacturer of the soft top liner (Mike does not not supply them any more) and that is from a German company http://www.auco.de/ I boubgt one 3 months ago and itis superb Julian NIL 8095 |

Hi Sonny, Did you have to do an engine flush or just an oil change? What oil did you use? cheers, Branko. |
