MG MGF Technical - Vader / Taipan Fitting

Hey There.

Quick Question.......

On my old F i had a taipan fitted and connected the cold air feed to the left side air vent.

My new F currently has a K&N with a cold air feed from under the car

When i put on my taipan to my new car, should i connect the air feed to the side vent as before or use the current air feed from underneath the car??

Cheers

It doesn't really matter Martin as long as it's pulling in cooler air from outside the car.

Saying that I have mine ducted to the nearside side air intake as I think it looks better.

I would not put it anywhere near the bottom of the car. The Vader/Taipan are enclosed, so act like hoovers and should you get into a puddle it will suck water straight into the engine.! I have my vader ducted down to the passenger side vent and it works like a treat, but about twice a year I need to clean out all the crud, insects, grass etc. etc.

I had my K&N ducted from underneath and the the Taipan from the side and I have to agree with Andrew's comments.

As Stu says make sure the feed is by the side duct.
