MG MGF Technical - TF115, original camshaft timing belt. Dayco?
Do you know belt builder name? I have to change camshaft timing belt and the other "services belt" in my TF115 MG car. Repairer want to fit the "original spare part" supplied by MG-Rover group (a sort of "camshift kit") because he thinks not-original spare parts are not so good and they can have problems and give problems with timing syncro because are a little different from the original fit one. I can have Dayco belts and accessory and I want to know if Dayco is the original MG-Rover builder or if its parts are different. If Dayco is not original supplier I pose an other question: someone fit Dayco belt and accessory in his mgtf? do(es) he/they meet problems? Thanks to you all |

Original MG Rover belts are made by 'Gates'. Can be bought direct from Gates through a supplier. Non-original belts should'nt cause a timing problem. I personally would'nt use anything except a genuine 'Gates' belt but it's your car so it's your choice. |

Hi Cnerone, You should still easily get these parts from the importer - they are still listed by X-Part as service agents. |
