MG MGF Technical - Steering Wheel Centre

I have for some time been considering updating my steering wheel centre on my VVC to that of the later model by trimming down the raised rubber MG symbol and then sticking a later type MG badge over the top. Has anybody tried this. Would there be any issues with the air bag ignition system? Any views can be e-mailed to me on jack@mgman50.freeserve.co.uk

Mr Satur sells a chrome steering wheel centre that might interest you....

About half way down on the attached link.

Hope this helps,

But you can only stick this on top of the enamelled badge so not much good for Jack!

Jack, I would not "mess about" with the badge on your car's steering wheel. Remember this is the cover over an explosive device!

THe air bag is however easy to remove. Might be worth seeing if you can get one with the coloured badge from the famous MGF breakers! They however may not be allowed to trade in explosive devices - certainly could not mail it to you.

Cheers
