MG MGF Technical - Oil

Does anyone have any perticuper advice on the best motor oil to use on my F? I drive at high speeds almost everyday on the autobahn, thought about using Mobil 1 40W sinthetic. Opinions??

sinthetic looks like fun, but I would go for the fully synthetic. As long as the engine has 15km on it, will help.
MG dealers were/are recommending Mobil 1.

that's what I use. with the winter there, is it the 10-40 that's best?

Same here, never can remember, but it sound sgod to me. By the way what size oil filter do we need? And what is the best one to use?? Can you tell I am planning on doing an oil change soon? How often do you do a complete tune up on your F anyway? When do you change spark plugs? Hmmm question questions questions. I guess I am going to owe you alot of beer.

Hi Adrian,
sounds like You never been at Dieters Tech Site :))
All possible info (and some impossible as well) is on that site ! My VVC come originally from Germany. Guess what the shiny label on the serviceflap says ?
"MG empfielt VEEDOL". See mgf.tech.here.de for all needed info.

Best regards , Carl.

Adrian, I don't know what's sold in Germany but in France the Mobil 1 is 5/50 grade which is a wider spec than UK and it's less than two thirds Uk price too.
David

Thanks guys!!
