MG MGF Technical - notchy gearboxes

Has anyone tried adding a proprietary product such as Molyslip to the F gearbox with a view to improving gear changing? If so what results? Is it safe to do this?

Have owned my F for six years now and every other year have had the gearbox oil changed. It does make a difference.
