MG MGF Technical - MGF Manual
Hi All I have just found a electronic version of the MG Rover workshop manual on Kazaa it has been reduced in size by removing most of the other cars and just has the MGF content. I have tried it and its great. |
MGF Manual |
Hi, Any chance you could email me a copy? Would be much appreciated! |
Rob |
or give me a hint of what to search for on kazaa? |
MGF owner |
Try searching kazaa for "mg-rave" as that is the name normally used unless mgfs@home.co.uk "found" it by chance with a completely different name? |
Also an MGF Owner |
I apreciate if you could help me on this one, I can't find any result on the Kazaa either thanks Joao |
Joao Barros Gomes |
Can't find it either - no chance of a kindhearted email is there? markb27@mail.com |
Mark B |
Bugger - just bought the CD of eBay for £10. Still worth it though. |
John Pickup |
I found it under the file name "RAVE MG Rover.rar" |
Paul |
I managed to download it last night and hope that those that asked for a copy to be emailed have broadband!!! |
Paul |
Hi all, Tried for ages but can't find a copy myself. Could any kind soul out there help me out with a copy ? |
Steve |
"Bugger - just bought the CD of eBay for £10. Still worth it though" The version on Kazaa only has the MGF information your CD should have all Rover vehicles. So very good value IMO. |
Paul |
I'd love a set of CDs for my TF135! I'll put them up on the web (quietly) when I manage to get some - |
Mark |
how to find it on ebay? |
cnerone |
I can get you a copy for £10 inc P&P if you would rather not use ebay. Steve |
Steve Nichols |
it's updated up to when? it treat about mgtf? 10£ to send me (italy)? |
cnerone |
The RAVE CD covers the MGF upto 2001 but stops when the MGTF was introduced. |
JohnP |
There seem to be two cds in the rave set one for old cars inc MGF and one for the new cars TF and Zeds. Paul; |
Paul Waine |
how to find new cd (about mgtf) in web or napster/gnuttella? |
cnerone |
Paul (or anybody else) If theres any chance of an email copy of the F bit, I'd appreciate it thanks Colin (who has broadband;)) |
C Ashworth |
Colin The MGF only section is still around 138 Mb in 'loads' of sub directories. Given enough time and inclination I could zip/mail you each subdir and let you unzip into the right place but I'm stuck at work doing 35 Windows & Office upgrades. I have just zipped the full path into a 113Mb zip and am about to email it to you but I'm not sure if our ISP will block it on size. If this fails its really down to somebody else to try or perhaps I could snailmail you a CD and rely on your word as a gentleman, and MGF driver, to donate to SOS when it gets going. |
JohnP |
JohnP Any chance you could also email me a copy of the zipped file. As I have had no sucess finding it on Kazaa. I too have broadband so hopefully 113Mb won't take too long. Many thanks. |
Peter |
For the interested: After 48 minutes my isp timed out my send and returned it to me. Outlook then got stock with a 113Mb file in Outbox that was grabbed by MAPISPOOLER each time outlook started and refused to allow it to be deleted. This also happened when i disconnected from the adsl router, the company network and my modem. Eventually renamed pst to renamed.pst and started outlook to create new.pst and then imported folder by folder from renamed.pst to new.pst ommitting outbox folder. Basically, 90 minutes to send nothing, screw up my PC and not get around to several users pcs here at work. Wish I could just call on IT when I had a problem. Wish I didn't cause the problem. Wish I remembered the problem I had when a user tried to email a 275Mb only a couple of weeks ago. I'll contact peter and colin via email later when I get the coffee machine to work - there should be a rule that Facilities must work when IT have to work!! |
JohnP |
It's 15:45 ish, roof is down, I'm going for a drive and stuff the upgrades. The users can't use what they already have and something new would only confuse them and that would only give me further grief. |
JohnP |
If only it was acceptable to shoot users. I had one who couldnt remember a password for 20 minutes! I'm halfway through downloading the manual on kazaa but the sharer must be offline. If i do get it, I'll share it 24/7. |
MGF owner |
If interested drop me an email and I'll see what can be done. Paul W |
Paul |
thanks 4 trying JohnP |
C Ashworth |
hi, I'm an mgtf owner. can somebody share tech manual in napster (or gnuttella) network? this way avoids too big attachments. I think this is the best way to publish this material. (I'm interested about mgTF) thanks |
cnerone |
John, there's a little program i use called WWWFileSharePro, to share files with friends. It basically acts as an http server on your local machine. It can/should be password protected, it is quite safe and no special software is required, its accessed via a browser. Only those trusted should be given access though, as to access its http://yourIP:80. I have a crack to enable the full program if u want it. Alternatively someone here must have access to an FTP server, where it could be uploaded. |
geek |
Geek Thanks I'll download a copy, get the crack from you and give it a try. I do have a problem - as IT Manager I am supposed to frown on non-business use of company IT resources and would, rightly, get castigated if I allowed any outsiders into our system even if it was for the greater good of the MGF community. |
JohnP |
Hi guys Is it possible that any of you place the file in your Kazaa shared folder so we all could download it from Kazaa, tell us the name of the file leave your PC on, then when much many people had it in their share folder much more faster is to download it from the net. thanks Joao |
Joao Barros Gomes |
Joao I would leave a copy in Kazaaa folder but I only have a dialup modem at home and I'm not going to pay 24 hour telephone call charges. Also, I do not allow access to my PC except to known and trusted people even with a good antivirus and firewall package. email me a postal address and I will arrange a CD to Portugal. |
JohnP |
I repeat, why do not share this data on napster or gnutella networks? (I'm using linux, so I have not kazaa) |
cnerone |
I guys Try also "MGF Manual Workshop" on Kazaa, its a zip file with 484MB Joao |
Joao Barros Gomes |
Joao, I take it that it was you that spent most of today downloading the zipped MGF Manual from my computer. Did it work OK? David |
David Clelland |
Yes David, it was me, in fact I leave my PC on and went for an open motoring... so much sun and warm temperatures in Lisbon today :) thank you very much, I always want this manual, I still can't find the parts ref. numbers, there is only a legend with the descriptions but not the part number. well I still can't find any ref. I hope you don't mind, I place it also on Kazaa. cheers Joao |
Joao Barros Gomes |
hao and david why not on napster/gnutella network? |
cnerone |
cnerone, The workshop manual that we are talking about is for the MGF not the TF and I'm sorry I don't use napster / gnutella. David |
David Clelland |
I have one of these manuals on CD. If you would like a cheap copy then all you have to do is send me a cheque for 2.50GBP made payable to The Samaritans and I'll post one to you. Mail me offline if you are interested. Ian. |
Ian |
Anyone know of the where abouts of a copy of EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) will trade for MGF manual. Cheers Paul; |
