MG MGF Technical - Exhausting Work

OK my exhaust has started blowing and need to think of a replacement, so I'll throw it open to you guys for sugestions

Thanks in Advance

MS daytona we have and it works very well.
Pheonix looks nicer to us but we don't know anything about it other than we thought it was too quiet
Nik & Anita

£350 from Mike for a SS exhaust. IIRC correctly, so's the standard MGR mild steel one, so worth spending the extra cash. Will need to let the insurance co know though.

Used to have the Pheonix on my previous VVC and loved it. Thought it sounded really nice with or without a K&N fitted, though I'd say I probably preferred it without the K&N.

Extra cash? I thought you were saying that they were the same price?

Mike does another stainless steel exhaust for less than £350

Blurb taken off his website:

"A new design exhaust at a new price. We have a revised all stainless steel exhaust guaranteed for life, non-transferable, at a new lower price of £265 (plus vat makes it £311.37). Shipping is £10 for UK delivery. The new design has twin 3" slash cut tail-pipes with rolled edges giving the rear view of the F a distinct and sporty appearance. The sound is equal to our Daytona."

MS Daytona system is superb, lovely sound and looks great in either quad or twin pipe set up. Also check out Robs site for the exhaust tests.

Mind you the link isn't working at the moment. Rob is this still working?

Thanks guys

Does anybody have any sound files for any avalible exhausts for the F? I'm looking to change mine soon but worried about sounding like a Vauxhall Nova.

Iain,

If you follow the link below, you can listen to the Daytona in action.

About half way down the page, next to the red F with the quad pipes. Sounds tasty IMO!

Think I should be on commision from Mike today, this is the third time I've posted directions to his site! ;)
Jim

Bear in mind though that this is with a K&N air filter fitted, just to give it that extra bark

... or looking like one ... with quad pipes ...

Saw the quad pipes on a flame red MPi the other day in a car park in bournemouth town centre and I thought it looked quite understated.

DJ, the server appears to be back up now - the exhaust tests can be found at http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/exhaust_test_results.htm

I've gone for the MSD as well, but with nice round single finishers. Nice :o)

Loved the TT too, and now Hanah has the pleasure of that system now :o)

I concur, Paul - after all its the same exhaust :-)

Incidentally, is it the box that's gone, not the flexipipe?

Neil.
