MG MGF Technical - door locking mechanism

I have just fitted a door locking mechanism to my 2003 mgtf but can,t get the mechanism to work properly. The central locking locks the door for 30 seconds or so then the door unlocks itself and the alarm goes off. Are there any electronics that may need re-setting to make the mechanism function properly

Interesting. Where did your replacement lock come from? Is it for the correct year? There have been wiring changes to the MGF and TF ranges over the years, and it is just possible that you'll need to make a wiring modification to make the lock work successfully.
