MG MGF Technical - brakes on tf115

Hi guys

I would like to know if i could put the 304mm discs on my Tf 115 (1,6). The rims are 15". Or something to improve the brakes in general.
thanks in advance
max

you need to fit 11 spoke 16" alloys or the calipers(4pot) will catch the wheels i think mike satur does a kit (not 304mm)that will fit with 5 spoke v v c alloys

Yep, as Richard says, only the Trophy or TF160 wheels have enough clearance, or aftermarket 17" rims. There's another 16" wheel that isn't far off and can be made to fit by grinding off a small amount of material from the AP calipers, but not exactly ideal.

You may find that just going for a higher performance pad can give you the improvement you're looking for, at a much lower cost. Also, have a look at Rob's page on servo movement http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/common_problems/brake_servo.htm - the amount of lost efficiency varies from car to car.

done the servo mod (vast improvement) also done the s/steel braided brake pipes and green stuff pads. but ive just fitted 11 spokes on so now i will have to do big brake conversion!
