MG MGF Technical - Brake Adjuster Fitting - Help?

To all who have fitted this. I know this is meant to be a 15min job, but I bottled it after 5 mins when I couldn't find the brake actuator plunger. I can see where you take the cotter pins out of both ends and that all make sense, but as I couldn't see anything else mentioned I decided I need some advice or piccies.

Either of these would be gratefully appreciated. Mike's instructions are fairly detailed, but as the saying goes a picture speaks a thousand words. I know this must be simple, but the thought of making a hash of it and not having brakes does not appeal!!

MS Daytona gets fitted tomorrow, varooooom.

Cheers

DJ

PS: SF Did you get tempted by Mike's big red brakes or did you decide to take the bumber???? I suspect the brakes won!!

Hmm, I didn't take pictures when I did this on my car - too bloomin' cramped! But it is easy to do IIRC.

Don't blame you for not thinking about pictures whilst standing on your head under the steering wheel. Once you've remove the exisiting linkage is everything blatantly obvious in terms of moving bits from one to the other.

Yes it is DJ. The existing brake linkage is identical to the one that Mike's sold you, with the exception that Mike's has a threaded section so that the link can be lengthened or shortened allowing the pedal to be positioned correctly.

The only thing that makes the job fiddly is the lack of space.

When I fitted mine, I put the cap on the end of the brake light sensor and found that I didn't even need to adjust the switch any further!

Final question. Where is the brake light sensor? That's the bit that's confusing me. When I did the standing on my head bit I could see where the linkage is connected, but couldn't work out what or where the brake light sensor was. Am I going completely mad or stupid or both.

Sorry

Test:
How many fingers?
close your eyes, press firmly on your eyelids, explain what you see...

But to find the break light switch, it is behind the pedal and points upwards, the easist way to find it is to look there for some wires, there is only one pair of wires behind the pedals (that I know about) and it goes to the break light switch.
