MG MGB Technical - Wiper Switch

I have a 71 mgb roadster. Having done the testing suggested in the archives, I know the wiper motor works at normal speed and fast speed. But I cannot get it to work using the column switch. I bought a used switch on eBay (caveat emptor), but testing it leads me to believe it is faulty.

Is there any work that can be done on the switch to repair it? I have taken one apart, but I wasn't sure what I was doing, and so I accomplished nothing, and ended up with lots of springs and bearings.

Any suggestions on what I can do to refurbish/rebuild the switch? The wiper pump works fine, but thats as far as it goes. Thanks!

I just cured a non-working low speed setting on a wiper/OD switch with info from http://shadetreemg.com/wiper_switch.htm.

Thanks for the reply and the web site, Willie. I followed it step by step, and now have a perfectly working two speed wiper with pump. Piece of cake! Curt
