MG MGB Technical - Turn signal dead

New to me 79 midget has 4 way flashers working fine, fast tempo with new battery but turn signals dead, lever locks into place both up and down, other stalk functions okay, fuses on firewall look good too. Suggestions?
Thanks

The usual problem is mucky contacts inside the hazard switch, flip it on and off a few times and see if that changes things. These are generally rarely used, the grease hardens, and acts more as an insulator than a lubricant. I've successfully opened up, cleaned out and re-greased the early rocker switch, but the later ones with the internal illumination are flimsier and two attempts on one of those failed.

Other than that you will have to check for 12v along the circuit such as both green wires when the hazards are off, both sides of the flasher unit, the common and left and right sides of the indicator switch, and so on.
