MG MGB Technical - tonneau bars

Hello
I have a question about tonneau bars. Are there differences in the chrome bumber ones as compared to the rubber bumper MGB's? Are they different in the folding top as to the stow away tops. I have an early bar and all I've owned is a GT MGB and midgets and MGA's never had a ragtop B so my knowledge on them is limited. I will own one someday
Thanks Mike

Mike,

Don't think there's any difference. I've got one in my '74 and in my '77 and they're identical.

I'm not familiar with the stow-away tops but I'd think as long as you have the "sockets" (as Moss calls them) mounted in your car, the bars should work.

Only one part number for each side right the way through, so probably identical, which makes sense. As Simon says as long as you have the sockets, my 73 roadster came to me with bars but no sockets, but they are available.
