MG MGB Technical - su needle size

Had a chrome GT for 2 years and in that time have improved its performance with electronic ignition, replaced tired dizzy springs, fitted K&N filters with AAA needles, improved brakes and suspension. Further improvements will include A Burgess fast road head, 285 cam. I will almost certainly require a further needle change, do any of you folks know what would it would be?

No - nobody can say - you will have to take the car over to Peter and get him to set it up on the rolling road.

While we are talking about needles , I have got a pair here bought for my car about 4 years ago . They are for HS4s ( fixed needle ) but stamped AAA . I think the AAA is only available for HIFs . The part no on the tube is AUD 1527 . These were useless on my car, it either would not run or even tickover , if you got it to tickover it then sooted it's plugs .If anyone has a part number to needle code reference I would love to know what they really are . The AAA is nominally the same as a no 5 or 6 at the first 4 stations so this has always puzzled me .

AAA are available in both bias (CUD1000)and fixed (AUD1527) needle types.
