MG MGB Technical - standard MGB wont start
hi, i have a 1973 mgb roadster that has been running perfectly with me for about 6 years but in the last week or so it has been hard to start only starting on 3 cylinders but now it wont start at all 2 and 3 plugs are wet and have a spark 1 and 4 plug have a spark but are not wet its regularly tuned up and ive checked the tappets changed the fuel filter and cleaned the float chambers can anyone help me please |

Replace the distributor cap and rotor, even if they appear to be in good nick. They can retain moisture and this can cause the current, passing through them, to seek the shortest path to ground. This results in cylinder misfire. Also, the quality of the new parts is no where near what it used to be and new components, from even the most reliable sources, can be defective right out of the box. RAY |
