MG MGB Technical - NOS Light Switch

I'm looking at a NOS lightswitch on e-bay that's advertised as fitting MGB for 68 on. The BL part # is BHA5111. I can't find a sight that will confirm this as the correct switch for a 1970 MGB.

Can anyone confirm that this will fit? Does anyone know a website that lists NOS part #'s for our cars.

Thanks,

Looks like the correct switch. The switch was used on cars numbered 258000 through 410000 and V8's in the UK market. Not sure of the North American market.

Steve,
I saw item #s 2448721025 and 2447830282 and neither is right for a '70. The one triple C is selling has the wrong profile on the bezel- the correct one is rounded, not angular. For that matter, I'm real sure a '70 has a chromed bezel (at least mine does), as opposed to plain black plastic as the '68-9 has. The other problem is that both switches have the symbol for the map light on the rocker. headlight switch symbol has the light symbol facing to the right, not downward. As in the direction the real lights shine. If you want to be strictly correct, '70s should have either lettering on the switch or the headlight symbol, can't remember which for sure but I think it's lettering. All that being said, any 3 position switch of the right physical size and shape will work fine, but those switches aren't strictly correct if that's what you were wondering about.

Parts Catalogue quotes the BHA5111 as being for RHD cars with rocker switches and CB LHD, RB LHD used BHA5191, but I think that was just metal dash cars. Elsewhere Canada is quoted as using 13H6322, then illuminated switch BHA5191 from the start of the 1973 model year. USA used the 13H6322 until Dec71, then BHA5149 (words instead of symbols) until the 1973 model year and BHA5183 after that. The bezels and clips for both Canada and USA appear to be seperate items.
