MG MGB Technical - MGB Ride Height

Would like to know the official ride height for an mgb roadster that is the most common everyday or ex factory height, how to check it? were to check it? and to what?.
My 1974 rubbernose stance looks to heigh and could have been set to + one inch to suit the US market.

Despite Michels comments and lots of owners measurements on the site I too would love to know the 'official' height. The factory gives the ground clearance and the overall height. Not so easy on a roadster as the hood frames vary but on a GT without sunroof it should be possible, with the car on a flat and level surface, to pack or load the springs until the roof is at the given height and the sides are equal. That still leaves how much the car is angled up or down front to rear ... unless the sills or trim strip are supposed to be level with the ground, the former do seem to be in the line drawings in the Workshop Manual. Another approach is the A-arms and/or steering arms at the front, again if they are supposed to be horizontal and parallel with the ground.
