MG MGB Technical - Maniflow HS manifold-MGB
I'm just about ready to drop the 2.5 yards for a Maniflow on the 77 285/60 over/PB FRBV/ 1-3/4/123 dizzy/Peco mgb roadster for that 3-5 guaranteed RWHP promised. Any personal testimonies out there? Vic |

Vic- I have a Maniflow intake manifold on the A series engine of my 1972 midget, plus I had one one my previous B Series engine in the MGB, so I can comment from experience that you'll like what the it does for your engine. Much smoother throttle response and smoother running in general. Of course, just to make things better, a bit more power, too. On a bone-stock B Series engine you should see an immediate 3 HP gain, but with a simple switch to big K&N aircleaners you should have a 5 HP gain. Start modifying the breathing with portwork and a stronger cam and the Maniflow intake manifold will then really show the deficiencies in the Original Equipment design intake manifold. Why anybody would handicap his breathed-on engine by staying with an Original Equipment intake manifold is beyond me! Sheer ignorance, I guess....... |

Not so much ignorance as to not knowing where to obtain one from. Anybody know who sells this type of manifold for an MGB in the UK? Charlie. |

Charles, try Maniflow in Salisbury - they're very helpful, I got a Stage Two exhaust manifold from them. Tel: 01722 335378 Web: www.maniflow.co.uk regards, Grant |
