MG MGB Technical - Help with master clutch cylinder

I just installed a new master clutch cylinder from MOSS. I put the fluid in and bleed it according to the Haynes manual. I first had to double pump the clutch to get it into gear. I redid the bleeding and when I put in the clutch it went straight to the floor. Now it doesn't pump fluid at all. Did I do something wrong or is the master cylinder bad?

Charles - After you bleed the clutch in the normal way, push the clutch lever all the way back toward the slave cylinder. This will push the piston all the way to the back of the slave cylinder and expell any air trapped in it, pushing it back up the line toward the master cylinder. Once that is done, go through the normal bleed procedure. You may have to do this a couple of times, but it should bring the clutch up to where it should be. By the way, this is not peculiar to our LBCs, I had to do the same thing to get the clutch back after replacing the slave cylinder in my Mazada truck. Good luck - Dave
