MG MGB Technical - Headlight earth point

Hi
Before I go looking, can anyone tell me offhand where the headlights are earthed on a rubber bumper roadster, I'm getting some strange effects which I think are being caused by bad earthing.

Usually on the inner wing by the fusebox, close to the run of the main harness. It is shared by relays and RB front indicators and cooling fans. If there is a bad connection between the common point of these (a solder tag) and the body you do get interaction between circuits. Typically each on their own will either work normally, work weakly or not at all depending on how bad the connection is. With a second circuit switched on the first can stop working if it was before. With indicators it can cause them to stop flashing and just glow. If lighting both sides is affected it can be the main grounding point or the 4-way bullet connector by the left-hand headlight. If only one side then either of the 4-way bullet connectors by the headlights. Remember each 4-way bullet connector has four connections, any one or more of which could be bad.

Cheers Paul, I cleaned the earth bullets behind the bumper and the main connection near the fusebox and the lights are back in business, I'm getting the car ready to put on the road after a lengthy lay-up and I get the feeling that's not the only bit of grief I'm going to have!

It didn't turn out too bad, a new battery, a few cleaned connections and removed the 'Discarnect' from the negative terminal of the battery because it was quite warm when cranking and I'm back in business.

I had an earthing problem with my RB Headlights. There is a collection of bullet earth wire conectors up the front near/under the slam panel, starboard side.
At some stage in the distant past one of the head light earths came loose/corroded. The lights more or less still worked, because they were earthing indifferently through the indicator. All sorts of weird effects. ie When you turned on the RH blinker (at night) the alternator dash light would flash as well.
