MG MGB Technical - Hard right

My wifes tells me her 79MGB is easer to turn to the left than the right. She says turning to the right is not real hard it is just better going to the left,

I will be checking this out tomorrow. Any ideas on what I should check

bs,
Nothing comes to my mind that would specifically work easier one way then the other, but you may be able to isolate the problem by disconnecting the tie rods, and then turning each kingpin assembly seperately, and running the rack back and forth, you may be able to tell where the trouble lies. Lotsa work, but you have to do it if there really seems to be a noticeable difference. Are the tires the exactly the same size?

A '79 will have a "collapseable" steering column.Once heard of the "washer" in these steering columns breaking, not only after an accident but also when force is applied to the steering wheel by whatever!. Steering still works but stiff.
Just a thought
