MG MGB Technical - Fuel Pump & Tank Lines

67 BGT with the new style (electronic) SU pump.

The two new hard fuel lines from Moss have one end of the hard line with the fitting nut for the tank end and fuel pump end however the other ends are just straight cut tube. Is the use of regular soft fuel hose and clamps what you have done to finish off the connection to an added fitting? I am thinking that terminal fittings for the pump end must be available with the same straight cut tube end to match the soft fuel line and affix with same size clamps. Thanks

Yes - the banjo fittings for the pump come with a length of hose already crimped in place but you can reuse old ones by cutting the old hose off and using a clamp to fit new hose.

I thought for chrome bumper the hard line from the tank had the banjo on it and bolted directly up to the pump, and only one flex hose from the pump to the pipe to the carbs. Rubber bumper cars have two flex hoses. But you could certainly add a second to the tank pipe on a chrome bumper without a problem, in fact that may be the solution to a friends problem where the leak seems to be where the banjo joins the tank pipe and not where the banjo joins the carb.
