MG MGB Technical - Engine Type

Please can anyone advise what year or chassis number the 18 V series engine was first fitted to an mgb roadster? Thanks Andrew

The first MGBs with an 18V engine went into production in August of 1971 for the 1972 model years cars. The first Roadster with the 18V engine was #258001, while the first GT with the 18V engine was #258004.
