MG MGB Technical - Capacitive Discharge ignition ?

Does anyone know if there is a capacitive discharge ignition system with an optical or magnetic pick up for the B?
Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Crane XR-700 and the Pertronix Ignitor are mearly switches (optical for the Crane and magnetic for the Pertronix). The MSD-6 is a capacitive discharge device. Si/No?

Following the links, you can see that both Crane and Pertronix offer CD boxes in addition to their trigger systems. I'm curious about street pricing and experiences with these myself. I remember my dad using CD systems back in the 70's with good results.

The Pertronix operation seems a bit funky to me, but maybe it works.

I kinda like the idea of using points and a CD system instead of the mag/optical pickups; it's easier to "limp home" with the points in place.

I believe Tyler is correct, the Crane XR700 and Petronix Ignitor systems are electronic switches. The MSD and the Pertronix Second Strike are CD systems and should work with points. FWIW, Clifton
