MG MGB Technical - Basic Wiring

Hey all,
This isn't MGB specific but could apply. I'm working on a Capri race car to compliment my BGT street car. I'm looking to do a basic race car style wiring job on my project capri. I want to run a master battery cut off switch, ignition toggle switch and push button starter. I would loved to have used the original harness but the previous owner destroyed it pretty well (lots of wire nuts etc..) The motor is a basic coil and points type ignition, nothing fancy. I know the basic wiring schematic but am unsure if and where I should be sticking fuses and what size wire I should be running for things. If anyone has a good drawing or schematic they could show me and/or wire size recommendations I would be in your debt.

cheers,

Will your race car have or require lights, wipers or any other electrical devices? Here is a link with the information you may need but no wiring diagrams.

This book has a basic wiring diagram for race cars.

Hope this helps.

Clifton,
I will be running brake lights and probably an electric fan, probably no wipers or headlights for the time being.

I was thinking of running a separate fuse panel for accessories (lights, fan, wipers) and have the ignition stuff separate.

I'll check out the web site, thanks for the link.
