MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - VDO Gauges
Hi, 1977 MGB supercharged I am not doing a engine conversion, but it seems many of you used these VDO gauges in their comversion. 1. I would like to ask if the OEM water temperature sending unit will work with the VDO gauge 310-104, 240/33 ohms 220 total degrees. Just about the same as the OEM? If not I read the OEM sender is a 5/8" thread size? 2. I know the stock fuel sender will work with # 310-105 and rated 240/33 ohms.... 3. Now the Oil Gauge. Will the OEM oil sender work with # 350-107 also rated 240/33. 100psi total. I was looking at the only VDO sending unit for this gauge which is the R9279B 230/33, and has 1/8 NPTF. Just not sure if this would work? Sorry if I intruded on this forum, but you have the best answers for this question. I think the VDO Vision set will look nice in my car. Any help making a complete set would be helful. Order I will place if correct: 150-121 VDO Vision Black Boost Gauge 370-152 VDO Vision Black Clock 333-160 VDO Vision Black Tachometer 437-155 VDO Vision Black Speedometer 332-103 VDO Vision Black voltmeter 301-105 VDO Vision Black Fuel Gauge 350-107 VDO Vision Black Oil Temperature 310-104 VDO Vision Black Water Temperature Again not sure on senders?????????If I need them??? Thanks, Ray |

Ray, The senders are rather cheap to get new and then your assured they will read correctly. As for the thread size, they make a bushing kit that will work for the Oil gauge, or you can go to O'Rileys and get one. I would get the VDO sender for the Oil Pressure at least. Stock MG is a mechanical gauge, are you ussing that type of VDO or the more common electric? Mike |

Mike, I am using the electric VDO gauges. Ray |
