MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - V6 or V8 Midget

I don't know if this is in the appropriate place if not please direct me to where I need to be. I am in the early stages of fixing a 76 midget. I have read many of the archieves and posts but most conversions seem to deal with the B's. I assume this is because of their increased size. Where can I find info and pics that involve the Midget. If placing a V6 or V8 is a feasible alternative I could look for an engine, trans, and rear end to install. My plans are to keep the appearance stock. Any help or direction will be appreciated. Thanks.
