MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - TVR with MGB V8 running gear?


Is this for real? The induction system looks factory down to the air filter brackets on the valve covers. Did the MG factory fit these engines to TVR's as well?

I can't open the link here at work, but TVR did buy and install the Rover V8 in some models. There was an article in Classic and Sports Car Magazine a few months back comparing the TVR, TR8, Morgan +8, and RV8. All used the same basic Rover V8 engine and accessories.

Hi from sunny Bispham ( home of the TVR)

I have confirmed that TVR never had MG rocker covers on their engines, and I doubt if they ever produced an automatic Vixen . Looks like a 'hybrid' to me.

PS,

Pretty sure the Vixen had a 1600cc Ford engine and 4 speed box as standard, but some of the very early TVR's used A and B series engines in the 60's.
