MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - recommend an air filter
finally got the engine in the car and started, Holley on an eldlebrock inlet, about inch and a half clearance any air filter recommendations. |

Nev, Just about to order K&N 3x14 inch, so my standard filter will be available soon. I would try to get a K&N if poss. Paul |

Paul, how deep is the filter i have about an inch from the highest point on the Holley, is the K & N washable |

Nev, The 3inch I have is about 2ins above base of Holley and 1inch below, this should work for you but K&N takes air from top as well and I use a RV8 bonnet that gives extra clearance. Once K&N arrives, happy to let you have my old filter to experiment. The chap I know may order 20 or so K&N's as Dave Vale will prob take some. I will be in Oxford at end of term in ZS. Paul |

I have an Edelbrock carb (500) on a Edelbrock intake with a 2” filter and dropped base. I tried extensively during the winter to get a K & N filter to work. I eventually contacted K & N and the smallest filter they make in a 14” is 2 ¼”. They would gladly make one to my specs but the cost was too prohibitive. |
