MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Insurance on a modified car

I am having trouble finding an insurance Co. that will take a modified midget. I have posted the question here because the V-8 guys typically have the most modified cars around and my have some more experience with this issue.

I have tried Hagerty and Grundy and both say it is "too modified" for their street rod insurance! And I thought street rods were modified cars?! I guess I'm wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.

Lloyds of London will insure anything, and I do mean anything. If your willing to pay the cost for it....

Try J.C.Taylor Insurance (located in Pennsylvania). They do Classic and Modified car insurance. Don't have their number handy, but they do advertise in Hemmings and some of the other classic car mags.
