MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Air Temp Control Valves

Hi guys,am picking up a Factory V8 soon, however it do's not have the Air temp control valves or as they are also known lobsters claws.Anyone got any spare or know of any available let me know....Cheers..Derek

Welcome to the ranks of Factory V8 owners!

Presumably your car has the "saucepan" type air filters but is just missing the temp control valves or are you looking for the exhaust manifold shrouds and corrugated pipes as well? If so you may have to search for used items as some of the above bits are listed as "no longer available" by some suppliers. ALL the bits are shown in the SC Parts catalogue. You can get this 800pp "bible" of very useful information for MGB 4 & 8 cylinder models FREE until end of December by phoning 01293 847204 - well worth the phone call! I believe corrugated pipe of the right diameter can be bought by the metre from VW/Audi parts suppliers.
Other sources for V8 bits are MGOC, Brown & Gammons, MGBhive, Clive Wheatley and Moss Europe. I think most of these have links from http://www.v8register.net which is a very useful website anyway for all MG V8's.
